Today, we have more than 2.5 million policies in force for auto, home and commercial insurance, and more than 182,000 life policies and 23,500 annuity policies in force.   In 1997, The ERIE's property/casualty premiums (sales) totaled more than $2 billion. Life premiums totaled $35 million, and life and annuity premiums and deposits totaled $104.5 million.
